Wellscend® develops its wellbeing framework as published intellectual work, not marketing copy. The concepts below were originated by Wellscend. We maintain this register so that researchers, writers, practitioners, and partners have one canonical place to point to — and a clear answer to the question "where did this come from?"
In the spirit of frameworks like the Three Horizons model and Cynefin, we want these ideas to travel. Cite them, build on them, teach them.
A working model of human wellbeing across eight operationally distinct layers — Biology, Vitality, Hormonal Health, Awareness, Emotion, Belief & Purpose, Connection, and Expression — grouped into four domains: body, mind, the relational, and the expressive. Designed to be rich enough to support real inference about a single person over time, without collapsing into clinical reductionism or expanding into "everything is wellness."
The longitudinal record of where a person is across the eight layers — an evolving graph built only from what the member chooses to share and reflect on. The WIG is the memory of the system: owned by the member, accessible to them and, with consent, to their practitioners.
A learned, longitudinal model of one human being that sits on top of the WIG — capable of forecasting personal cascades (what tends to precede what, for this person), simulating the likely effect of an intervention before it is chosen, and projecting a future-self across time. WIT is governed by a discipline of calibrated honesty: it stays silent until it can defend what it sees, and speaks in three registers — wondering, noticing, knowing.
The conversational guide through whom the intelligence of the WIG and WIT becomes a relationship rather than a dashboard. KNDRA listens, learns, and surfaces understanding in plain, human language — and decides, crucially, when to stay quiet.
Wellscend's framework for organising wellness needs by intent and depth — mapping what a person is actually experiencing to the right form and depth of support (from self-guided, to guided with an expert, to longer-term work), rather than sorting offerings into supply-side silos like "fitness," "nutrition," or "mental health."
